According to police spokesperson, Constable Thuto Bobelo, police were alerted to a shooting incident in the early hours of Friday, 11 September, and responded to the scene on a smallholding.
“Police discovered the bodies of the man and his wife on their bed. Both had sustained gunshot wounds to their heads.”
Bobelo said the couple’s 30-year-old daughter was asleep in another bedroom when she heard a gunshot coming from her parents’ bedroom. “She went to investigate and forced open a burglar door to the room, where she discovered her parents deceased. She then contacted the police,” Bobelo said.
A revolver was found on the bed between the deceased.
“The circumstances surrounding their deaths remain under investigation, and at this stage their identities cannot be revealed.”
