Four armed men wearing balaclavas entered the premises at 01:44. A fuel attendant was cleaning the pavement when he noticed the suspects approaching. They held him at gunpoint and used force to gain entry to the shop.
They forced an employee at gunpoint to open the cash register and took cash, cigarettes and an employee’s cellphone
before fleeing. Security footage shows that the robbery took only one minute.

PWV Security was alerted and arrived at the scene within two minutes. There was, however, no sign of the robbers.
Hartbeespoort police are investigating the armed robbery.
